Sunscreen is a substance applied on the surface of the skin to provide protection from harmful UV rays. It works by absorbing, reflecting, or scattering the UV rays. It protects the skin from sunburn, premature photoaging, and other skin issues caused by harmful UV rays.

SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is a measure of how much solar energy (UV radiation) is required to produce sunburn on protected skin (i.e., in the presence of sunscreen) relative to the amount of solar energy required to produce sunburn on unprotected skin. As the SPF value increases, sunburn protection increases.

Blue light is emitted from the sun, electronic gadgets like smartphones and computers, and certain artificial lighting.

Blue light can penetrate the skin and may contribute to skin ageing and damage. It has been associated with potential effects on collagen and an increase in free radicals.

The sunscreen has to be chosen based on your skin type. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, there are a few parameters to make the right sunscreen choice
